The Villa Isla is based in the urbanisaiton of El Paso at the base of Punta Lara. Just 1 mile from Nerja, the villa is in a great location to access the beaches, bars and restaurants of Andalucia. The urbanisation of El Paso was built in 2006 and consists of 5 bungalows and 5 town houses. The Villa Isla is at the end of the group of bungalows overlooking the landscaped gardens and swimming pool. Please note the the pool is open from 1 May to 31 October each year. Just a 5 minute walk takes you to the road that links Nerja with Torrox. There's a regular bus service but it's only a 20 minute walk into Nerja centre. Alternatively cross the road and you're on one of Nerja's many beaches. There are a few bars, restaurants and shops near the 4* Marinas De Nerja hotel. Nerja is well known for its Balcon de Europa, a magnificent promenade once the site of a Moorish castle and its maze of cobbled streets providing a great selection of tapas bars, restaurants and boutiques. Nerja boasts over 10 miles of sandy beaches including the award winning Burriana Beach, known as one of the best beaches in the Costa del Sol. Situated on the eastern side of Nerja, the Burriana area has all of the facilities to support a sunshine holiday including beach-front restaurants, watersports and scuba diving facilities. The caves at Maro, only 3 miles from the Villa Isla, are one of Spain's nost spectacular tourist attractions. Discovered by a group of boys in the 1950's the caves include archaeological treasures including wall paintings believed to be over 20,000 years old.
